Nanny Asiah, an elderly woman who makes a living by selling sugar, vows that if she can prevent someone from facing execution, she will dance and rejoice until the morning call to prayer. This promise comes after witnessing her own son’s execution in a Kurdistan prison.

Director Statement
Throughout the history of cinema, many films have explored the theme of “execution.” What sets this film apart is its focus on the families of execution victims, who live with this tragedy for the rest of their lives.
